Rilla Talvio (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist from Southern Finland. Talvio is currently based in Rovaniemi, Finland. They completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in applied visual arts at University of Lapland and are currently working on their Master of Arts degree there. They have also taught photography courses on the liberal adult education sector.
As a visual artist Talvio focuses mostly on analog methods, exploring ways of creating a sense of timelessness in their black and white expression of landscapes. They strive for a sort of poetic picture-making practice.
They have been working with the medium of photography for over a decade, occasionally doing commercial work, event photography, portraits etc. outside of their artistic practice.
